Methodology

-

After interviewing 8 people and building up our affinity walls, we found several interesting similarities between our interviewees. To examine the similarities in greater depth, we decided to take two more steps before establishing our personas, which are:

  • Behavioral variables charts
  • Behavioral variables map

-

In our behavioral variables charts, we categorized our interviewees’ answers as notes into several main issues from our green labels in the affinity wall, such as background, walking habits, health issue, and so on. Then, every issue is divided into some sub-categories for deeper analysis.

In the next step, we examined and categorized the features of interviewees and put them into a level bar for each category. This became our behavioral variables map. We could then easily see the distribution of several groups on the map, from which the personalities of our important personas began to emerge.
